Sign Your Shelter Up to Receive Food from Hill’s

Those of you who know me know that I am always asking pet food and product companies to make donations to animal shelters and rescues.  So, I am quite excited to share this with you.  Hill’s Food, Shelter & LoveTM program is accepting new applications from shelters and rescues (you must be a 501c3 to apply).

Since 2002, Hill’s Food, Shelter & LoveTM  program has helped more than 7 million pets find new homes, and continues to work every day with nearly 1,000 shelters to feed their pets 365 days per year.  The new Partner Program is accessible to eligible animal shelters and rescues that are not benefiting already from the current Hill’s Food, Shelter & LoveTM program.  Hill’s is the maker of Science Diet. I’ve toured their facilities, and am quite impressed with the high level of care that goes into this food. To find out if your shelter or rescue qualifies, click here. If your shelter or rescue qualifies, you will receive food from Hill’s starting in April. This is a great way to start of the New Year!

This Just In: I found out that this program does not offer FREE food. The food is greatly discounted. It is under .50 cents a pound. I was not given the exact amount. I was also told that the rescue or shelter has to have one physical address.  The address has to be a place that a representative from the company can visit.  Unfortunately, this usually excludes organizations that use foster parents’ homes as the location.  If you do have a physical address where pets can be adopted, you should definitely apply to this program.
