From Throw Away to Loved Pet

By Michele C. Hollow of Pet News and Views

I have been following the stories of Eldad and Audrey Hagar for a few years now. I had the opportunity to  interview  them  about three years ago. Ever since then, I have been a fan.

Eldad’s YouTube videos are always uplifting, and many bring tears to my eyes. Still, they leave me feeling positive.

As a journalist and blogger, I hear so many negative stories about the treatment of animals. Sometimes it is hard not to get caught up, not to get angry and depressed. That is why people like Eldad and Audrey renew my faith in the power of good. I know this sounds corny, but I’m grateful that I know them. I, like many of you reading this, have seen the video of Fiona. If for some reason you haven’t, click here.

And here is the real reason for this post: This is a recent photo of Fiona. Seeing it reminds me of the power of love, and how by caring for someone so much, we can make a difference.

Here is a current photo of beautiful Fiona with her adoptive dad, Chris Gentry.

I have watched Eldad’s videos and each time I am amazed at how he continues to not let the negatives get in his way. He sees a lot of bad stuff, and he does so much good. Thanks for the link to your first post about Eldad and Audrey. They really are great people.

Thanks for the update, and I also liked your first post about Eldad and Audrey and how they met. They are a cute couple that do a lot of good.

And let us not forget people like Chris Gentry who adopt! If all of us adopted, and cared for our pets this would be a much better planet.

I love your blog Michele, and that you constantly focus on the good people who are fighting the good fight.

I’ve also become a fan of Eldad and Audrey and their rescues. The video of Fiona’s rescue was the first one that I watched and I ended up in tears…..happy tears! I’m hooked too! God Bless Eldad & Audrey for all the good work that they do and the lives that they save. They truly are angels!! I immediately made a donation to the cheesebuger fund after seeing Fiona and will continue to donate as often as possible. Thanks to Chris Gentry for adopting Fiona! She looks sooooo happy!! What a little love bug she is!! Wish I could have adopted her but I already have a house full of rescue cats and dog Lola! Best to all of you! Lisa
