Meeting A Hero

One of the perks of writing Pet News and Views is meeting my heroes. About three years ago, I interviewed Eldad and Audrey Hagar of Hope For Paws, and last week at BlogPaws (a conference for pet bloggers), I got to meet Eldad in person. Eldad and Audrey have rescued thousands of dogs and cats. I am always amazed at Eldad’s stories and how brave he is approaching discarded dogs–many who snap out of fear. Within a few short minutes of patiently waiting for dogs to calm down, they just know and come to him. He is the true dog whisperer.

Eldad and Audrey have worked hard–volunteering their time–to transform fearful dogs and cats into adoptable pets. I am hoping that all of you reading this will visit their Facebook page, check out their YouTube channel, and spread the word about Hope For Paws. If you can help out with a donation, so much the better. They are doing some amazing work. Following is a video with a happy ending about Fiona one of their rescues.

This is worth sharing. I have seen this before, and it has a happy ending, so I can see it again. Eldad and Audrey do do amazing work.

I checked out Eldad’s YouTube videos and spent most of the morning watching and crying. All have happy endings. Saving so many dogs makes Eldad an angel.

We should have an Eldad TV show. He should definitely have his own Animal Planet show. He is so good with dogs, does heroic work, and is personable.

Does anyone here know how to get someone like Eldad on TV? I agree with your other readers that Eldad needs his own TV show. Audrey should be on it too. She is beautiful, and also does a lot to help animals.

I love the idea of a TV show focused around Eldad’s rescues and then showing these dogs cleaned up and adopted. He is a gem.
